Ask yourself: “Am I using the right materials?”

Before it’s even time to start filling your Go Mini’s, you should make sure that your materials will be able to keep all of your belongings safe and withstand the drive.

Below are some commonly used materials we suggest avoiding:

Flimsy boxes. Free boxes are usually free because they’re too weak to hold their structure and carry much.
Wood crates. Wood crates became popular because of their sturdiness. Unfortunately, that actually becomes their downfall when it’s time to unpack. Wood crates can’t be broken down and often take up too much space in a Go Mini’s and at home.
Newspaper. Not only is newspaper usually too thin to provide any real protection, but it can also transfer onto glass items.

Distribute weight evenly. If you’re planning on packing furniture, like couches and beds, don’t place them all in the same area. By spreading out heavier items (starting at the back and moving forward), you can avoid uneven weight distributions.
